All he has left of his parents is a Magic 8-Ball they had given him, and a family photograph. Upon entering his new home, he meets Jonathan's neighbor and best friend, Florence Zimmerman. And set up an encampment in the middle of campus, no matter what the rules say. But there are also communities that rely on people being able to trust each other and being able to carry out their classes and their academic endeavors as a collective so they can learn from one another.
And eventually, both of them lose their jobs in a really high profile way. Now, the President of Columbia has what turns out to be a very well-timed, pre-planned trip to go overseas and speak at an international climate conference. So instead, the presidents of Harvard, and Penn, and MIT show up. And it turned out to be a disaster for these universities.
